The CORE Movement Studio Team

  • About our Team @ the CORE Movement Studio

You should be aware that we have 3 long-hair Dachshunds. If you are allergic or afraid of dogs, unfortunately, this may not be the right studio for you as they will be in the home almost 100% of the time.

Our studios are located inside parts of our personal home. The Pilates and Gyrotonic studios are in parts of the home that are dedicated to the business exclusively. The dogs will bark when people enter and or leave the home as that is in their nature. They are all friendly; some more then others (Presley is shy- read more below). If you wish for them to be locked away during your sessions please advise us upon booking so that we may try to make arrangements prior, but note they may/will bark uncontrollable non-stop if not in sight of Victoria - as they are her guard dogs and are used to being at her side. They will sit in their dog seat and observe class and sessions quietly. We are sorry if this is an inconvenience.

  • Victoria - Lead Instructor

My passion is to help others find a working connection and deeper understanding to their mind & body. I use imagerary, demonstration, and taticle cueing to help other find where they need to be while doing the movements properly. I focus on breath work and a combination of classical movements and contemporary styles. I am a big believer in proper form, alignment, and using hands on spoting or correction when needed. I am able to modify most movements and bodies. And I will work with any of your medical professionals advice on rehabilitation exercises post op. I give contunious feedback and never teach the same class twice.

I not only like helping people, I also love helping animals, in particular Dachshunds. When I am not teaching people you will find me with my doxies. I volunteer with the Dachshund Rescue of Houston (Droh), and all of my dogs are rescues (2 from Droh).

  • Louie- IT & Office Management

Louie is deeply passionate loving dog and he adores Victoria. He current assists her with running the business. He oversees our Social Media postings & helps update our Website. When he isn’t on Victoria’s lap working online, he can be found quietly observing classes in his seat, loving on Ella, or slacking off in his bed napping with one or both of the other dogs. Somedays he prefers to stay downstairs on the company laptop updating our social pages, and or scrolling endlessly online, or playing with his toys. Please feel free to pet and love him if/when he makes an appearance. However please do NOT pick Louie up! He has spine & shoulders issues and he needs to be picked up in a very specific manner to protect his body as he suffered from IVDD. Louie can not take the stair up or down alone and he will only let Victoria carry him, because of this we do put up dog gates to prevent him from such dangers.

  • Presley - Head of CORE Security

Presley is the head of Security at The CORE Movement Studio. She likes to bark when she hears the door opening (she believes she is our door bell) but will quiet down once clients are safely inside. She likes to make the rounds in the house and on the property, and making sure Victoria and clients are safe at all times. Presley prefers to judge peoples character from afar and will very rarely let you pet her. She is a shy around new people. This may or may not pass; Please do not take it personal. If you see her grace us with her presence, ignore her, as she will find a spot near Ella or Louie hidden in the corner. If you try to pet her, she'll likely run away. She has been known to come up to some clients at the very end of class to let some clients pet her. If she comes up to you then you have earned her trust.

  • Noelle (Ella)-Victoria's Body Guard

Ella is the newest addition to the CORE Movement Studio. Ella has many nicknames such as Pup-pa, Ellita, puppasita, Elliephant, & Ellie-fur. She answers to none of those! Ella is currently part of Victoria’s security detail, and has been promoted to main guard dog. You will see Ella 1st upon arrival. Be prepared as she loves to sniff everyone as they enter and greet them by rolling over looking for pets and a belly rub. She will also want to follow you upon departure ( please don’t take her or let her out !) Ella will make appearances in class, she loves to demonstrate legs and arms in supine position, dead bug, and sideline series. However, typically she will sleep throughout the class session in the corner in her dog seat. She is a excited & happy dog who is extremely loving to all . Feel free to pet her and expect her to roll over at your feet and ask for belly rubs also at the end of class when you perform the final roll down sequence.
